🐾 Trusty Pet Care – Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions are designed to protect both you (the client) and Trusty Pet Care. By booking any service, you agree to the following terms.
1. General Information
Trusty Pet Care provides professional dog walking, pet sitting, and home visit services.
All bookings are accepted on the understanding that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
Trusty Pet Care reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Clients will be informed of any changes.
2. Meet & Greet Consultation
A free Meet & Greet is required before any new booking.
This meeting allows us to get to know you and your pet(s), discuss routines, collect key details, and ensure we’re the right fit.
3. Bookings & Cancellations
Bookings are subject to availability.
Last-minute bookings (within 24 hours) will be accommodated where possible.
Cancellations:
More than 24 hours’ notice – no charge.
Less than 24 hours’ notice – 50% of the service fee will apply.
Regular clients may be asked to book in advance during busy periods (e.g., holidays, summer).
4. Payments
Payment is due on or before the day of the service, unless otherwise agreed.
Accepted payment methods: cash, bank transfer, Stripe or PayPal.
Late payments may incur a small administration fee.
5. Keys & Home Security
Client keys are labelled with a unique code only known to Trusty Pet Care — no identifiable information is attached.
Keys are stored securely when not in use.
Keys will never be left under mats, plant pots, or other ‘safe’ places.
If a key is lost or stolen, clients will be notified immediately.
6. Pet Health & Behaviour
Pets must be up to date with vaccinations, flea/tick, and worming treatments.
Clients must disclose any known medical conditions or behavioural issues prior to booking.
Trusty Pet Care reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service for pets that show aggression or behaviour that may pose a safety risk.
7. Emergencies & Veterinary Care
In the event of an emergency, Trusty Pet Care will make every effort to contact you immediately.
If you cannot be reached, your pet will be taken to your nominated vet, or the nearest available veterinary practice.
You agree to reimburse any veterinary fees incurred.
8. Walking Policy
Dogs will be walked on-lead unless written consent is provided to allow off-lead exercise.
Group walks may include up to 2 large or 3 small/medium dogs, but we also offer solo walks for pets requiring one-on-one attention.
Trusty Pet Care will not walk dogs in extreme weather conditions (e.g., high heat, storms, ice) if it poses a risk to your pet’s safety.
9. Insurance & Professional Standards
Trusty Pet Care is fully insured, DBS checked, and a proud member of NARPS UK (National Association of Pet Sitters & Dog Walkers).
All services are carried out in accordance with NARPS UK’s Code of Practice.
10. Data Protection (GDPR)
All client information is kept strictly confidential and used solely for pet care purposes.
Data is stored securely in compliance with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).
Clients will receive a copy of Trusty Pet Care’s GDPR policy at the Meet & Greet.
11. Liability
Trusty Pet Care will take every precaution to ensure the safety and well-being of your pet(s) and property.
However, Trusty Pet Care cannot be held liable for loss, injury, or death of any pet(s) beyond our control, or for damage caused by pets to property or belongings.
12. Photographs & Social Media
With your consent, Trusty Pet Care may take photographs of your pet(s) during visits for updates or social media.
No personal or identifiable information will ever be shared.
13. Termination of Services
Either party may terminate ongoing services with one week’s notice.
Trusty Pet Care reserves the right to terminate services immediately if a pet’s behaviour compromises safety or welfare.
Dangerous Dogs Policy
For the safety of all clients, staff, and animals in our care, we are unable to accept any dogs listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 (including any amendments). This includes, but is not limited to, the following breeds:
Pit Bull Terrier
Japanese Tosa
Dogo Argentino
Fila Brasileiro
We also reserve the right to refuse or terminate services for any dog that displays aggressive or dangerous behaviour, at our discretion.
